Croeso i chi gyd / Welcome to you all

Well, the National Eisteddfod shall soon be visiting the wonderful Vale of Glamorgan at the beginning of August (4th to 11th) and we shall be looking forward to welcoming them to the Cowbridge/Llantwit Major area. It is an area steeped in beauty, and of course overflowing in history. For those of you who are visiting the Eisteddfod I would encourage you to take a look around the area. This is where Edward Williams/Iolo Morganwg, the 'creator' of the Gorsedd, roamed in the 1700/1800's.

We at Wilcare Wales are also very proud of our history, hence the naming of some of our chairs after areas of Wales. The Brecon, Denbigh, Glamorgan, Gower, Pembroke, Raglan, Snowdon and the Tenby are chairs, like our history, we are proud to shout about, just as Iolo did when 'inventing' the Gorsedd of the bards, which is now such an important part of the Eisteddfod.

We shall be featuring one of our model chairs each month to help you get a better idea of the particular chair being featured.

The Tenby

The Tenby chair is a tilt-in-space type chair (please see 'How Mechanisms Work' under the 'Useful Information' tab if you wish to know more about the tilt-in-space type action).

The standard model chair is able to accommodate weights of up to nineteen stone, while the Tenby Max can accommodate weights of up to twenty-five stone.

We have now added to the Tenby family and are now also able to make and supply the Tenby chair as a Manual pull/push (please see 'How Mechanisms Work' for how it operates), a Static chair, and the very latest member to the Tenby family, the Tenby two motor tilt-in-space chair, which is having its first viewing at the NAIDEX show at the NEC, Birmingham on the 1st to the 3rd of May on stand A60 in hall 18 (by the middle entrance/exit to/from the hall).

The Standard Tenby is able to be supplied within the following measurements. 16" up to 21" seat to floor height, 17" up to 22" seat depth, 16", 18", 20", 23" and 25" seat widths, and from 27" up to 33" back heights.

The Tenby Max can be made in the same sizes as the Standard Tenby with the exception of the seat width which is only the 18", 20", 23" and 25" size widths.

Back designs you may wish to choose from for both the Standard Tenby and the Tenby Max are: Waterfall, Button, Cushion, Split and Split Button. (Please see page 34 in our brochure for a better idea of what they look like).

The Tenby chair, like most of the chairs we make, can be covered in a wide variety of fabrics, ranging from vinyl covered chairs, possibly more for hospital or residential home use, to various fabrics which can be found in our standard swatch, and other washable fabrics (please see cleaning conditions for the fabric). The chairs can also be supplied in leather if this is desired by the customer.

There are a host of options and accessories offered for the Tenby, and it would be best for you to either take a look at page 34 in our brochure, or contact us to find out more.

We hope this has been of some help to you and given you a better insight into the Tenby chair.

The chair of the month for June will be the Denbigh chair.
